Old Foundation - the small apartment in Moscow in a fusion style
Moscow apartment with a history designed by architect Alexander Krivov in FIFTH AVENUE completion
A small one-bedroom apartment with an area of 65 sq. m. is located in the center of Moscow in a house built in the late 20s – early 30s of the last century. Throughout its history, several generations of the same family have lived in it in different years. The main wish of the clients was to create in the apartment the feeling of an old Moscow with a history, but in a modern way. The architect Alexander Krivov succeeded in it. “The beauty of this apartment is,” says the author of the project, ” that only two outer walls and two pylons in the center are supporting it, plus a small panel. All this made it possible to carry out a complete dismantling and create a layout from a clean sheet.” The interior of the apartment is designed in a restrained gray color scheme with bright yellow and blue accents. In furniture style the preference is given to neo-classics in its modern way, emphasizing the close connection of different decades.
Among the interesting design solutions, we would like to highlight the wardrobe in the hallway, which is also a decorative partition between the hallway and the living room, and at the end it is also a bookcase. The bespoke wardrobe is made to order according to the drawings of author of the project. The furniture and decorative lighting were completed by FIFTH AVENUE design gallery.
