MAISON&OBJET PARIS (23-27 January)
Dear friends, next week starts one of the most important and exciting design events in the world – the January session of the international salon MAISON&OBJET in Paris, which will be held from 23 to 27 January traditionally in Paris Norde Villepinte, and will be accompanied by other bright program – DECO OFF in the city, in the textile showrooms of the major brands. This time Fifth Avenue, will bring to Your attantation the most spectacular innovations and novelties from the show, as well as from showrooms – participants of DECO OFF, and will tell You about the emerging trends in interior design market and in textiles segment. As always the team of Fifth Avenue will report from Paris M&O and share our emotions and findings on-line! We will select for You the best of everything, bright, actual and original that was created in the segment of design and decor and will be important in subsequent seasons in Your interior.
This year’s MAISON&OBJET PARIS will celebrate its 20th anniversary, marking a new Chapter in its global history: at March10 -13 the second salon MAISON&OBJET ASIA in Singapore will be held, from 12 to 15 of May MAISON&OBJET AMERICAS in Miami will be launched. On this occasion it was decided to choose the winner of the category “Designer of the Year” four times – twice a year in Paris (September and January), in March in Asia and in May in the United States. For MAISON&OBJET PARIS, each of these two Designers must fit within the profile of each of the Paris shows, that is, a more product design-oriented profile in January and a designer more closely related to the world of interior architecture or decor for September.
In January 2015 designer of the year of MAISON&OBJET in Paris named Oki Sato – NENDO, whose installation will be presented in space Now! design à vivre” 8 pavilion (Hall 8). The talent of NENDO is impossible to doubt. His creations can be seen today in the leading museums of the world such as the Museum of Modern Art in new York, the Museum of Decorative Art and the Centre Pompidou in Paris, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, and at the Israel Museum in Jerusalem. Among his numerous collaborations are such famous names as Louis Vuitton, Cappellini, Moroso, DePadova, Starbucks, Puma and more recently BoConcept… Follow our news!
