Gervasoni
The Gervasoni company begins its activity in 1882 in Udine as “Società Friulana Industria Vimini”. It is just a small company set up into the centre of Udine with a dozen of workers weaving wickers, typical plants of the area, to make baskets and other small products for the local market.. In fact since 1950, the company has been making use of famous architects for its products creation: Adalberto Dal Lago, Werther Toffoloni, Vico Magistretti, Georges Coslin and then Carlo Forcolini, Prospero Rasulo, Roberto Lazzeroni, Enrico Francolini, are among the designers who have taken part to the company success. The company is successful in the interior furnishing sector and exports its products throughout the world. From the wickerwork baskets of its origins it has progressed to furniture of more exotic materials, more suited to the new work methods, to furnish homes and public premises hotels, restaurants, etc. The last collections of Gervasoni have been created by the great and talented master of design – Paola Navone.
